Located in the Forest Oak building, the Acorn area is a modern, open planned and well-resourced learning space which accommodates two classes of Foundation students. Mrs Melinda Rowe and Mrs Holly Peters facilitate engaging, varied and differentiated programs to cater for all students.
In 2017 we will focus on the following:
Term 1: Social Justice – Routine and Rigour
Term 2: Creating – I’m a Scientist
Term 3: Ancestry – Family History
Term 4: Physical world – Pets and Animals
The children enjoy having weekly buddy sessions in the gallery area with the grade five students. We have some resident stick insects in Acorn 1 that the children are learning about and care for. This room is also used for construction and developmental role play.
